One of the most difficult tasks when searching for a second hand vehicle is finding a compromise between the best value and greatest practicality. Among many interesting offers you will also encounter a used Saab 9-5, which is in my opinion an excellent option when it comes to combining reliability, the best safety features and good looks. The exterior design looks very similar to the current Audis and VW’s, but the car is rated as the safest in Europe. Personally I would focus on the models made after 2005 as they have fully redesigned dash with a much improved sound system offering CD changer, XM Radio and iPod / accessory input. The standard version comes equipped with a 2.3 litre turbo engine as a standard and much smoother transmission than in the previous model. Surprisingly, the huge power does not impact the fuel usage which is over 30 mpg on the road as long as you keep it under 80 mph. Admittedly that is hard to do because this car is fast and likes to go fast. Purchasing a used Saab 9-5 will also give you a spacious interior and great cargo capacity so a perfect option for a family car. To sum it up, the car is much better than its famous competition and can be bought for less money, so if you are smart, you will choose a used Saab 9-5.
